El próximo 13 de junio se celebra el “Día Internacional de Sensibilización sobre el Albinismo” con el objetivo de aumentar la conciencia y la comprensión del albinismo y luchar contra la discriminación y el estigma que afecta a las personas con albinismo en todo el mundo.
ALBA, Asociación española de ayuda a Personas con Albinismo, quiere sumarse a esta iniciativa de nuevo e invitarte a que te sumes también con el sencillo gesto de nuestra campaña del año pasado, que fue todo un éxito: te proponemos que te hagas una foto (individual o en grupo) señalándote un ojo y súbela a todas las redes sociales en las que participas.
Este año otras organizaciones de personas con albinismo ya nos han comunicado que se van a sumar a nuestra campaña, por lo que el hashtag será #ILookOutForAlbinism, que significa “miro por el albinismo”.
ALBA recogerá todas las fotos que encuentre en las redes sociales y realizara un vídeo como el del año pasado. Pedimos disculpas por adelantado a todos aquellos que participéis y no aparezcáis en el vídeo final, pero es fácil que se nos pase alguna foto.
Súmate a la campaña con un sencillo gesto: Hazte una foto señalándote el ojo y súbela a las redes con el hashtag #ILookOutForAlbinism. También puedes poner un enlace a esta noticia para que más gente conozca la campaña y se sume a ella.

“I look out for albinism” Campaign by ALBA on the “International Albinism Awareness Day” 2016
Next June 13th will be celebrated the “International Albinism Awareness Day” (IAAD) with the aim of increasing awareness and understanding of albinism in order to fight against global discrimination and stigma against persons with albinism. Many organizations have proposed activities of all kinds to join this awareness initiative. You can see some of them on the official website of the day: albinismday.com
ALBA, the Spanish association for people with albinism, again wants to join this initiative and also invite you to join us with the simple gesture we used in our last year’s campaign that was a huge succeed: we suggest you take an individual or group photo pointing your finger at your eye; then, upload and share the picture at all your social networks with the hashtag #ILookOutForAlbinism (I look out for albinism).
As this year other associations of people with albinism from different countries have informed us their intention to join our campaign, the hashtag will be #ILookOutForAlbinism so it will be internationally understandable.
ALBA will collect all the photos found with that hashtag in the social networks and will prepare a video with all of them, like we did last year. We apologize in advance to all those who participate but don’t appear in the final video, as it is easy to miss track of some of the photos online.
Join the campaign with just a simple gesture: take a photo pointing your finger at your eye and upload and share it at all your social networks with the hashtag #ILookOutForAlbinism. You can also share the link to this message in order to make more people aware of this campaign to join it.
